VaricamLT: Workflow for shooting anamorphic with the LT for a 2K DCI delivery

Hi group, I need advice regarding shooting on Varicam LT with anamorphic lenses for a 2K DCI cinema delivery.

My reference for shooting anamorphic on digital cinema have been for the Arri Alexa until now, but I need more specifics on the Varicam.
What is the best way to arrive at a 2048×858 delivery? Should I shoot 4K DCI, 4K UHD or simply 2K? Since ultimately the Varicam will use its whole 17:9 ratio sensor, I'm concerned with having to deal with pixel binning artifacts / moire etc. after cropping the sides for 2.39:1 and then downres-ing. Has anybody figured out the best workflow?

Maybe Mitch Gross Panasonic can help me with this?

Thanks.

P.S. I also sent this post on the Panasonic Varicam LT & V35 Users Group on Facebook, sorry for repeating myself, just looking to reach as much users as possible.

I would shoot in 4k DCI to get maximum sensor info.
I feel like the in camera down-res routine in 2k footage can have artifacts that aren't in 4k footage of the same shot, and if you have to clean up artifacts in post you'll have plenty of resolution to play with.

That being said, I've shot anamorphic footage in 2k mode and it looked awesome.
