Seriously, first you make the best DVX video I've seen, then you buy the camera which convinced me not to get a digital rebel and wait until canon's next generation (since everything I've seen from the 20d is just mind-blowing)....and then you put an insanely nice lens on it.
Basically, I'm jealous of all of you with dSLRs.
From what I hear, the fuji S2 really isn't any better than the eos20d, but the S3 seems to have better dynamic range.
if your budget is somewhat tight, id go with a Digital Rebel and use the extra $$$ on lenses. Lately i've seen some crazy deals on ebay. My buddy got a DB for $600 w/ battery grip, lens extender, 1gb CF and 2 batteries... it's nuts. Honestly, the DB can take just as nice pictures as the 10d
The only reason I went with nikon over canon (and it's a company camera, not a personal) is that the nikon mount hasn't changed. That means you can use all the sweet old lenses from the 70's and not pay 2004 prices...
Also the kit lens with the nikon is marginally better then the kit lens that comes with the canon, and there's a few more features...MLU, etc. You couldn't really go wrong with either the D70 or the rebel...I'm just a nikon guy.
I'm in love withb my SIGMA D10. The best of all is that pics are raw. Just like if you where making a TELECINE. Just push on the reds, the pedestal...amazing. And the only one camera with FOVEON CHIP. One layer for every color, pure rgb. And here comes the best part... 10.2 Mpxs for $2000 .

That would look awesome...BUT...the lensbaby is just a flexible tube...it doesn't hold shape on it's own, so you'd have to keep a hand on it at all times or design your own system to hold the lens in position.
