Hey guys! Maybe it isn't fair to say you can do this yourself, the birtch branch its made of is kind of unique. However it may inspire some of you guys to do your own rig with a focus pulling handle!

Some PROS and CONS I've discovered so far..

PROS
  • Very stable construction
  • Easy to pull focus without having to let go of the rig with any hand
  • Beautiful, a piece of art
CONS
  • Focus pulling made specially for my all around Tamron 17-50 lens
  • Does not fold
  • Hose clamp not so easy to assemble, will be replaced

What do you think?

That hand-grip FF is like the ReFFolution I've been working on. Same concept.

Dad has got some mad woodshop skills. Birch branch goes in the one door of the shop, DSLR rig comes out the other. Totally awesome!

Haha that made me lol! :D

Thanx for the comments! I'm afraid a patent is to late since its allready "out there", didn't expect all this when i posted the video. :) Nice to have the people on your side tho!

I'm thinking about designing something that uses a bike gear shift on the handle to control the follow focus. You can buy gear shifters quite cheaply. Has anyone tried doing this?
