oh wow, Larry! very smooth voice....and sitting down, too. Acapella... Impressive! :) (spare ribs! haha!)
Thanks. The sitting wasn't the hard part it was seeing my mug on that monitor staring back at me :)

Thanks for the holla! Nice job and very nice to meet ya! I love cuff links... people never do that anymore. A man without cuff links is like...well, I dont know what. But it is. :)
I love cufflinks and those particular ones were a gift from my wife

Larry!!!!!!!!!! Nice vid cuzo! You sing huh? Never saw that one coming...... Great voice man, seriously.
Thanks. Yea, I was trying to think of something different from the "Hi, you guys are great...here's some shoutouts", I figured I'd mix it up a little and I got the idea from an old post from briceman saying he would sing in one of them.

Dude, you should act in your own herofest short, with that tie on you look like Mr. Incredible.
What, are you saying I'm fat? :Drogar-Angry(DBG): Just kidding!

Thnaks for the shout out! You know you're in my 3k one! ; )
I'll be watching...I'd hate to have to sick the Baninator on you if you forget! :banned:

Ribs. So did Norm "take care of" your landlord problem, then?
I wondered if anyone would catch that connection :) The bit the other night about Norm cooking ribs is what reminded me of that old song.

Great vid, Larry! Now get a DVX already.:)
Glad you liked it. I actually had planned to be sipping a Pepsi while recording the video, in honor of you Horse. And I was going to comment on how this was as hard a drink as I take....but those blasted nerves, I forgot until after I stopped rolling film.

By the way, a great user here on the site lives near me and is going to let me use his DVX. That's how I get to be in the HeroFest

You won't catch me doing that
Oh, come on Aram...I know you have a beautiful baritone down in there just begging to come out! Don't make me pull the baninator down on your head!!!!

I'm so glad i'm no where near 1000 posts :D
No, but you are right on target for your 1/2K vid

Nice one Larry, liked the glare joke...
The glare thing came about because I don't have a light kit and the silly practicals were shining right into my face so you could see me :)

jpbackesmercer said:
keep on singing...maybe you should do a greatest DVSuser hits, I'd like to ask for Freebird...
That reminds me of a joke:

A guy goes into a bar and orders a beer. When the bartender sets the beer down on the counter a monkey swings down from the ceiling, swipes the beer, and swings away with it. The guy is furious and asks the bartender who owns that monkey. The bartender says it belongs to the piano player. So the guy goes over to the piano player and says, do you know your monkey stole my beer? And the piano player says, No, but if you hum a few bars I can play it.

Thanks again to everyone...I'm glad you enjoyed my little video. I'm looking forward to the next several thousands of posts. I just realized, by the time I reach Hudson levels, briceman will have so many posts the counter will have reset back to 0

Peace,
Larry

Cool video man! You've got a great voice man! Loved the background music too haha

Thanks for the shout out, totally wasn't expecting that! I think I should change my name lol

Thanks for the thought...I have sung in several college choirs, one of them was by special invitation. I was auditioning for a public choral group and the director requested I join his "invitation only" University Choir - that was a challenging choir, but a lot of fun and I really grew as a singer.

At the risk of sounding conceited, I actually sing much better than what you heard....but I was really nervous about the whole camera thing."

i meant for us here at DVXuser..... put out an official DVXuser vocal music CD or Dvd. that would be awesome

Larry, I want a shoutout when you do Freebird, (You don't have to do the guitar solo...)
Thanks for sharing again, dont think I'll be doing one (1000th), youve got more balls than me...

Haven't gotten to view it yet, but I've downloaded it ... just can't watch right now, though I'm taken a peek at the thread & am now expecting some stab at me about the ribs. :)

Really looking forward to seeing this, Larry! Thanks for posting it.

Sorry, no big joke... a couple nights ago, Norm (Envision), mentioned in a thread that he was making his world famous ribs for some friends. So I commented in my vid about the fact that I hadn't tasted any (in other words he hasn't made any for me).

But the bigger "joke", if you can call it that, is that it reminded me of that boarding house song - that's when I decided to include it in the vid.

Hope that clears it up :)

Peace,
Larry

Good to see you again! Boat anchor! Nice.

Loved the music... it was so epic, I felt like it was a deleted scene from the climax of Return of the King.

I didn't know you could sing! Why the hell were we sitting around in silence?

Good job bud.

Congrats Larry! Nice to put a face to the name...

You have a grand singing voice. Screw Normal Guy, you're now Singing Suit Guy to me!

I won't take any offense to the cramped hand, I know you gotta keep up on your other hobbies.

Good to see you Larry R. Great little vid man, love your glasses warp. It really rocks to watch these videos and see the people behind the posts. Thanks dude.

Singing suit guy to the rescue!!! That was an entertaining video. The soundtrack is what got me most- no one really has ever done that. Kudos to the originality. Aaand, the music was like theme park rides- like maybe "Soarin Over California"-esque. If that makes any sense. Congrats!

Ha I read your reply and thought about the video and totally saw the Larry R ride:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Larry, WOW, thanks for the kind shout out. Wish I could have been so thoughtful in mine, but ... well, I wasn't prepared like you. :) Cool to see a video of you vs. just the still pic, and when you're up here eventually with the wife, I'll make those famous ribs.

Oh, and the singing ... you've got brass ones, my friend.

Haha Mino.. let's pitch it to Disney. There would have to be cuff links involved. Perhaps a rollercoaster with the loops being cuff links?? hah i don't know...

Nice cufflinks.
:)

Can't wait for the 2K video from you where you do a song AND dance!
Thanks for the video Larry - I love that people are taking the time to do these.

Don't change it...then the shout out will be wasted

You got it, if I ever sing Freebird I'll be sure to shout out to you first

You really should do a 1K vid...that's what all the cool kids are doing these days. If you don't want to sing in it, you could just play the Freebird guitar solo for us.

Hey, glad you liked it....the truth is, the music was a poor attempt to help cover up the fact that I had crappy audio. In fact, I was using the on camera mic and the camera was sitting right next to my computer and there was this lame bass rumble from the case fans - I did my best to notch it out, but wasn't very successful. So I figured, why not drop a music bed down there and let it hide the crappy audio.

Thanks Zac Henke...glad you liked it

How about "A Normal Singing Guy"

Glad you liked it... did you like how I made the cuts between the "glasses on" and "glasses off" not a clean smooth cut, and I wasn't in exactly the same position? That was in homage to the original briceman warping video :)

Great, you just gave away my HeroFest entry.

Look! Over in that cubicle! Is that a Bean Counter?! Is it a Middle Manager!? No, it's Singing Suit Guy!!!

Glad you enjoyed it... It's funny you mentioned "Soarin' Over California"...that is like my favorite ride over there.

Lady Jane & Mino - HA HA!! Classic about the ride. That had me so crackin' up this morning.

Sorry to disappoint, but I am as bad (or worse) at dancing as I am good at singing.

By the way, Luis...looks like you should be working on your 2K vid now

Again, thanks everyone...glad you enjoyed the video. I enjoyed making it for you.

Peace,
Larry
