Woho, new short in progress - grabs

This time, Christmas is in danger because Santa is being kidnapped by evil terrorists who want to get their hands on his gift-storage on the north pole!:grin:

We have only completed one third of the movie, the guns and action (along with hot Norwegian teenage girls in tight clothing:beer: ) will be coming tomorrow I guess...

When it comes to lighting it all, I had one light source available, a fricking big lamp which we had to bend in all possible ways to get stuff lighted:undecided , anyway, is the lighting good enough for you? And CC?

i am liking the colours man, those grabs look nice. in terms of lighting, for what you had i dont think you could have achieved anything better

Except! lol, maybe by using a bounce card you could have given your actors a little back light, would have been nice to see that.
framing is great, colours are great, now lets see some footage!

** geez, now that ive seen footage from the hvx200, anything but HD looks low res....
 
I like most of the shots, my favorite is the one of the cellphone. I think for the lght you had, they are nice. You might want to invest in some cheap work lights.

...And it has been another day of exhausting shooting:) Poor santa...

Two thirds of the movie are now finished, only tomorrow left before I can finish the editing. This is what I have so far today, lots of grabs:thumbsup:

this might be completely off, but me wonders what the shots would look like if the blacks were crushed a bit more???
 
The actual movie will be up on Friday, it's a school project which we have three days to complete :)
 
did you use auto focus, or is it just the ocmpression of the images that make it look out of focus?
 
I like guns. I mean, the grabs. the 7th grab (of the second set) is nice. Cute girl! Looks interesting. Want to watch this. I hope you can pull the feature off as well as the grabs look.
 
Well, as promised, the movie is now up.

Although important: On this movie, we got a deadline consisting of three days. All the shooting and editing was to be done durning those three days. This movie is intended as enternainment for fellow students at school. It is not aimed for the world wide audience, so don't expect too much from this. There are lots of internal/in house jokes and (lousy) ripoffs.

k, i dont know where to start really. I can't critique dialog since i dont know what language that is... But I'll say they need some backlighting to get rid of that shadow. Also, I noticed that the girl sits patiently on the couch for like what 4 or 5 hours in the same position without moving. That is a bit odd!

Also when she calls him, it appears to be 9:40, but when his phone rings, it reads 12:05 [!!]

I see a lot of cases where backlights would help, I can give more continuity flubs if you'd like but i mean the colorization seems ok.
