Wobbly Mic

I just bought a DVX100b. I purchased a PCS SGM1 Shotgun mic to go with it. I attached it to the mic mount on the camera. I attached it and tightened the mount real good but the mic is wobbly and shaky. It is bouncing up and down a bit when I move the camera for certain shots. Has anyone else had this problem? And how did you fix it?

Ya, that happens. That thing sucks that came with the camera. For 60 bucks canadian, you can get a shockmount which it brilliant. You mount it in that metal thing on the top of the handle, and put the mic through. You can use it for a boom pole to!

Its called the Rode NTSM3 Suspension Shock Mount

or NTSM3 For short.

Id get that if I were you
