WMV to Final Cut Pro workflow, ideas?

Our company has a bunch of old footage that we purchased a long time ago and it is all in .wmv files. We are trying to figure out the best way to get it into Final Cut Pro so that we can edit it. We are currently using Sorenson but we are wondering if there is a quicker way. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Convert to an easy set up editing format.

Take a look at any of the converters to facilitate this.

I haven't tried it, but would MPEG streamclip do the job as long as it had the Flip4Mac player codec installed? Worth a shot since MPEG Streamclip is a freebee.
