With or without 35mm adapter for jib and Glidecam?

I've noticed difficulties in using a camera with a full 35mm adapter (Brevis) and a jib or Glidecam, as so much weight is added.

I was wondering if any of you have had experiences with this and if you've simply ditched the adapter to go with only the camera lens. Any noticeable difference in image quality or any other issues with mixing the shots?

Yeah, that's what I do. When you do jib and steadicam stuff you're usually shooting wide anyway. Not much need for an adapter shooting wide. You may need to add some grain to match the adapter footage though, depending on your look. I do this all the time, cuts together just fine.

hard to say. every stabilizer, jib, etc is going to have different weight carrying capacities - usually directly proportionate to its price ; )
if you overload the capacity of a steadicam, glidecam, etc, it simply wont ever balance and you very well might damage the gimbal assembly.

you always need to be conscious of how much weight youre putting on what. i saw a set of low-mid level manfrotto legs totally fold under the weight of a kessler crane a few years back. it was only thanks to a lucky bystander that the camera didnt meet pavement...

My main concern is really matching the look of the shots. I don't want the non-adapter shots to look like they don't belong.
