Was there any official press release about this? Because we have reports from someone who attended IBC who said they were told it would be $50,000 US.

Sony's FilmLike camcorder
Sony's FilmLike camcorder
I had a word with Sony about this very camcorder at IBC and apart from having no name it seems to me that Sony are only too aware of Panasonics head start in this field...I took it from Sony that we are going to get their FilmLike camcorder cheaper that the estimated $24,000...possibly in the region of $7,500-$10,000.
PS. Barry can you please email me with the company making the Canon adapters for the AF100 please.

Wow, very nice vid. We get to see the first video shot with the camera. Incredible DoF.
We also get a close-up of the camera. Well, a mock-up, probably. Based on that, it has:
2 XLR inputs
ND filter wheel
Zebra
Assign buttons
Looks like HD/SDI output and/or timecode/genlock
Appears to be fitted with a PL mount in that configuration
No media storage slots. Hmm. There is a blank area next to the battery port. Maybe that's where they'll go, or the raised area behind the grip.
Either way, nice looking camera! Kinda RED-ish. Better looking than the Panny AF100 imo, but that really doesn't matter.
