I am looking at beable to move freely in a crowd with my HVX and beable to send video feed back to a close 'remote' location.

I got my wireless microphone for the HVX, but I am looking for a wireless Video (RCA and/or SVIDEO and/or COMPONENTS)

What's at the remote location? and how close is it?

If it's for monitoring you have some choices, if it's for switching (or you need good quality) then this is going to be expensive.

I'm not entirely positive, but, I don't think you can transmitt a HD signal yet. But, you could transmitt a SD signal.

Monitoring or broadcast, I might want to do both. Ofcourse price will determine that I will actually do ;)

Petrus just about nailed it.

Switching quality aireless camera links are expensive as hell. - Especiallyy HD ones. This would probabaly be a rental item, take a look at http://www.dcam.tv/ for some info on one good broadcast system. And http://www.wevi.tv/ is another one, thoguh this has some lag, so probabaly woulnd't work in multicamera environments.

..or you could hire a grip to pull a cable.

ok 64k is out of the question ofcourse... Let forget HD then... :)

Let say I go to a event that I need to be moving into a crowd. I want to beable to transmit to a base station that will send the feed to internet or other media.

I guess I'll be alittle more resonable :)

My current setup is a laptop with a wifi card in a backpack... And I DONT LIKE IT ;)

To be honest, that trick is about teh cheapest and simplest - if you don't care abotu lag - with Windows media encoder running at a high bitrate you can get a damn nice picture. I've done that a few times succesfully.

Take a look at Wevi from my above post, that is about what you would need. And it's only a few grand. :)
