I have a Sennheiser Wireless EW100 with lapel mic that has been sitting around with little use for a while. I initially purchased it with a desktop receiver for use at events that I run. I recently purchased an HPX170 and was thinking I could use this as a wireless mic with that camera. Is the EW100 a decent wireless system? I also need to find out where I can get a wireless receiver that is compatible with my transmitter and can be used with the HPX 170. I am fairly new to all of this stuff, so any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
If you have any additional suggestions on wireless, shotgun or other mic systems that would be worth looking into please let me know as well. I will be using the camera offshore in a boat quite a bit to shoot big game fishing. So I will definitely want a mic that can dampen some of the wind noise. Thanks.
