I came across this and I was going to buy it on craigs list. Would this be a good system for the HMC-150? Has anyone ever used this mic?

Who's Mike?

Couple things with these - No xlr cable (can find one) and a old 'fixed' style antenna....

Im interested in seeing how these perform!?

i'd stay away from azden. invest a little in your wireless. get a sennheiser g2 setup. usually you can get them for less than $400 of ebay.

audio gear is going to outlast camera gear always.

Thanks...this was only a 100.00 bucks.. And I would use it very little.

I know someone that swears by Azden, so I wouldn't say that. Depends on what series you are going to get...

These are where I would start personally...

I haven't tested, but I wonder if these are better then our older Sennheiser's ew100's with this brick:

Sennheiser G2

In video the golden rule applies.. you get what you pay for.

My friend has a 100 dollar wireless "mike" system (lol) and it was poopy. Just did not function at the level you would hope a piece of equipment like that should.

The sennheisers are good for the money.. but the Lectrosonics are by far the best out there. They will last the test of time, and with a wireless you have to consider what happens when it falls or gets dropped as this will happen. The lectros are solid and built inside metal casings. They are the only thing you'll see pro audio guys use.. I got mine for a grand each used and they have lasted me almost 10 years.

cheers
