wireless mic suggestion... thanks

I'll be shooting with the hvx 200. My budget for the wireless mic is around $500 to $600.

Suggestions would be great... thanks

I suggest that you try the search function. Not trying to bust your chops, but this question has been asked a thousand times over and it's creating a lot of clutter. It's amazing what a quick search of "wireless mic" can turn up. Read through results that come up in the Audio forum.

This is what I was looking for... thanks.

Will I need the optional charger for this unit? Does it take standard AA or AAA batteries?

You now have a make and model for the wireless you need, but took the time to post to ask if it takes AA or AAA batteries?
You would rather now wait for an answer when it would only take 10 seconds to google?

The reason I asked was I all info seems to suggest purchasing the battery pack recharger. I found this a bit confusing. Apologies for the anxiety...

Sennheiser G3 arrived yesterday. Best investment Ive made in a long time.

Thanks gpforet for the recommendation

Cool, glad to help. Remember to set your mic level for each actor. Ask them to talk as loud as they will in the scene, and then ask them to get even louder, then adjust your sensitivity on the transmitter so the meter doesn't peak but gets good deflection.

Thanks EWS

That's exactly what I've been looking for

I've used the system a few times... my only problem is random "popping"... I'm filming in NYC and I read somewhere it's more difficult in big cities. Sometimes there's a faint whoosh sound as well but all in all the audio is beautiful and rich...
