Wireless lav issues.

Hey all,
I'm using the Sennheiser Evolution Wireless G2 system (Camera Kit) and the receiver isn't picking up anything audio from the lav what-so-ever. I admit it has been a few months since I last used it, but everything was working fine then. I'd appreciate any help or tips you all may have. The camera I'm using is a Panasonic DVX-100B.
 
Check this:

- both same frequenties
- mute switch is off
- mic level on camera
- gain knob on camera is open
- check your audio settings (this I don't know by hart)

As embarrassing as it is to say, the solution was staring at me the entire time.

Good list, but I would add:

- new batteries fitted
- "PILOT" on on both transmitter and receiver
- leads properly connected and not broken



Though I would like to know what the problem actually turned out to be.
 
I don't think the "pilot on or off" would caus big problems...

New batteries could help also...

But the problem was already solute ?

Oh yes it would!

Do you not understand how "pilot" works?

If "pilot" is OFF on the transmitter and ON on the receiver you will not get any sound at all - you will only get sound if "pilot" is ON on both units or the receiver is "pilot" OFF.
 
Ah ok. If one of them is on or off yes it does not work. But i was supposing both were on or off

Yes - that's why it's important to check it.

You could be tearing you hair out having no audio, when all then has happened is that you switched off the "pilot" on the transmitter by mistake.
