WInXP SP2 screws up firewire in Vegas

I just posted an entry on the Vegas thread. I could not capture with Vegas with SP2 installed. Had to back out the update to get it to work again. Be careful of SP2.

SP2 screwed up my ability to capture anything from the firewire, not only in vegas but also avid, etc. so i wiped the drive.

I use Pinnacle Liquid Editon and it wouldn't let my program run. I found I had to turn off the Firewall and then start the program. That is the problem, turning that off will fix the problem, because it thinks you program is using pop-up and they have SP2 to stop pop-ups when the firewall is on.

Do you have a Firewire 800 connection? I've read that SP2 causes problems with 800 but not 400.
