Winter use and acclamation of 35mm adapter

I have used my camera, a Dvx, outdoors in the winter, Living in michigan filming all year means having to acclimate your camera once mid November hits if you wanna go outdoors and shoot. So how I was taught was to use large plastic zip lock bags and get it down to outdoor temp, and use the bag so that no consideration is formed in the camera from the temp change, and then the same proccess for bringing it in and warming it up. I imagine this the same for the adapter. But are there any other things I should watch out for. Also any good suggestions on how to rap this baby up for being out in the snow. I cant think Of a good way of covering my lens and FF. I could drape plastic over the top but i feel like the gears would grab the plastic. Any winter rig tips? First winter out with my full 35 setup.

I used my HVX and LEX in bitter cold freezing enviroments without any problems.
The batteries are not lasting as long but othervise no complains as long as you take care of the acclimatisation process.

Regarding a full size slicker for the whole Schabang including FF, adapter and all, have a look at my DIY $10 slicker:

Postmaster- your design looks great, I havent made it out to the hunting store here in town to scope out the water proof stuff. But I got a project that just sew happens ( ha pun) to be happening right now that im helping a girl get a Online store off the ground were she is showcasing he homemade clothes and has DIY videos were doing on how to do some of the clothes aswell So i got myself a good person to help with the stitching. Obviously our designs will be different but with the area around the follow focus i was considering taking small gauge tubing and making a frame so that there was a good opening for me to get to the follow focus and the cameras focus ring if so needed. And to add to ease of changing lenses. Im trying to wrap my mind around the idea of how to make it so that when i take my hand out of the FF hole, that it closes back up or can close besides the area for a whip. Any ideas? Velcro is all I have. Sweet velcro.
