Howdy! I have been here in Nowhere, Iowa DPing an indie basketball film based on a true story. Its has been a very challanging but fun shoot.

Check out some grabs at my blog: LightPlusMotion.com

Working with my Red has been great! Its been flawless.

Thanks!

Thanks for checking it out- No steadicam on this but I am rollerblading with the Red during some of the basketball scenes. We also have a mathews dolly and a diy skater dolly. Having a steadicam operator would be nice though...

roller blades w/ a red. I'm going to have to see this now.

I'm not sure how to say this...but the still of the basketball team posing like The Rockettes may not have been the best promotional choice.

If you can mention it to the producers, I'd suggest they take that still down. That still has the ability to kill the entire film.

Prodigi Pictures-

I have no idea who the Rockettes are, is that pose already copyrighted? They just might have to get over it.

Here is a link to The Rockettes:

And here is the still I'm referring to:

Personally, for poses like this I prefer staring at The Rockettes. That's just me. Regardless, I'm not sure publicity stills like this communicate the message you want.

wow that looks awesome. I love sports movies so this gets me really pumped. How did you do that shot in the clip you posted?

Chris, the main character, and I have the same skinny legs. I changed into his wardrobe and threw the Red on my shoulder with the lens right next to my face. The crowd was told to cheer like I was Chris, I held the mattebox with my left hand and put my right hand in for the "go dutch", someone followed me to be my hands for the free throw. It was all th directors idea and I was surprised how it turned out. Thanks for checking it out.

Yep you were right you didn't know how to say that. Perhaps you should do a little more research to understand publicity and PR AND Advertising and less commenting next time.
One photo can kill a whole film????
Do you even know how that shot fits into the story? Were you on set? Did you read the script? No?

Maybe that photo is the perfect promotional piece.

Anyway...I don't think Hunter is using this as a publicity photo. Hunter is obviously showcasing the fantastic DP'ing he did.

Great work Hunter!
