A pain au chocolat with a good coffee, muesli and yoghurt + orange juice is a good start for a day !

ps : Your friday night drink thread is a very good idea. I hope it will be a regular chronicle in Dvxuser. The first one !

If you're at all into dessert wines let me recommend Royal Takaji Red Label:

This is incredible and resonably priced at about $20 a bottle. The wine (1999) shows rich apricot flavors. This is amazing as it comes from grapes! Look for it in your local wine retailers. You won't be sorry.

I opened a Concha y Toro Cabernet Sauvignon, puente alto don melchor yesterday and I think it's worth the $40 it costs.

Does anyone know where one can buy wine by the case here in southern california?

Cheers!!

"Trader Joe's," located all over the country, is known for having GREAT wines at fairly cheap prices. I tend to like white wines over reds - Pinot Grigio variants are so damn tasty.

Hahaha. That takes me back to college. I remember the midnight picnics, a tub of KFC (when it was still Kentucky Fried Chicken (not Kitchen Fresh Chicken) and a bottle of Annie Green Springs or Boone's Farm on the Fifty Yard Line of the Sun Bowl. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
shoot i remember 6th grade boones farm, 7th SPANADA wine,8th southern comfort,9th bigger bottle of southern comfort and some other nasty stuff to make the mind go woo woo! then me and my best friend would polish off a case of narragansett beer, and we were only 16. by the time iwas in my 20s i was burnt out :violent5:and i quit and really started training, living a healthy life style.

all right here is another. this wine is also lower budget range $6.99 and you can get it from whole foods. it is a Malbec from Argentina and is amazing with red meat. Those Argentinians really know how to eat beef.. and can make wine to go perfect with it. it is also organic. if you are eating steak this weekend and can get to a whole foods be sure to get a bottle.
