Re: Windward Sports Commercial.

I just want to know how you did them zooms from the freeze frames. I asked this question recently on another website.

Re: Windward Sports Commercial.

Sorry for the delay in answering. Basically, you just take two still photos, in this case, the untouched and the treated photographs. You layer them over one another, then set an opacity envelope to come down about halfway through the runtime of the images (usually about halfway should work). Thus, you have the one, clean photo transitioning into the affected one.

Next, you'd want to set some keyframes for the zoom on the first image (usually just two keyframes for the whole zoom). Once you like the zoom you're getting, you either save the settings for the keyframes you have made for it, or you jot down the exact positions of both. Then you simply insert the exact same keyframes into the second, treated image. So basically you now just have two images moving in the exact same way.

If you're looking to do that with video, to stop and then zoom, that's even easier. You'll just need to freeze the clip where you want it, and then stick in those two keyframes (from A, zooming into B).

Does that make sense? Let me know if you need any more clarification.

As for the other stuff, the comments, I'd love to go back and do the changes, but the spot has already been sent off (it was a 24 hour deal, so perfection wasn't needed). However, I'll make those changes for the reel! Thanks for the help!
