Windows Workflow?

Hello everyone,

I was just curious if anyone has tested a Windows workflow for use with this camera yet?

1) What format did you shoot (HD, SD, 720p, 1080)?
2) What application are you using to edit with?
3) Does this app support the MXF DVCRPO HD files natively (if you shot HD)?
4) If not what was the process for getting the files into the NLE?
5) How are you monitoring your material throughout the post process (on what kind of monitor and how are you feeding it)?
6) Are you color correcting and/or color grading your material?
7) What program are you using for this and again, how are you monitoring it?
8) Are you doing audio work, and if so what application are you using for this?
9) How are you getting your edited audio into this app?
10) And finally how are you assembling and to what do you plan to finish?

I know that’s a lot of questions but I’m trying to figure out what post workflows are available out there. Feel free to add to this if I missed anything.

Thanks,

-Trane

Ok... So maybe no one's doing it yet..... anyone even interested in a Windows workflow and maybe have a few idea's? I don't really think it there yet.

If you open up a webbrowser on a WINDOWS machine and go to dvxuser.com there is a great editing option call search at the top.

browsing is a great editing feature as well

Here’s a purposed workflow… Any opinions on it?

1) Shoot 720p 24

2) Edit a straight cut in Avid Xpress Pro- do all fades, effects and color correction in AE

3) Of 720p yes

4) N/A

5) Monitor only on computer monitor during edit phase

6) Yes

7) Color Finesse from Synthetic Aperture in After Effects- monitoring in AE out of a Decklink Card to a monitor

8) Yes Digidesgin Pro Tools

9) Exporting edited audio as AAF from Avid for import into Pro Tools

10) Finish in AE with export to desired format for distribution

i am pretty sure i did post useful info - most if not all of these topics have been thoroughly discussed very recently - so search and browsing will turn up most answers that people here have.
