I'm running XP Pro and for some reason, now when I plug my DVX into the computer, I get a found new hardware screen, wanting me to install drivers for the new hardware that was found. I never had this problem so far. Anyone have this problem yet?

actually believe it or not there are more mounting problems with the DVX on macs than PC's...
what you need to do is uninstall it in the hardware panel, then reboot. It should come back. ITs just getting a bunk signal from your firewire cable (change cables or flip them around, make sure they arnt getting interference from nearby power cables)

No way! I own both and have had more problems with my PC and the DVX than my Mac! Maybe it is just my systems.

Ok, I found the problem. Seems the video device in the Vegas options reverted to none. Once I selected OHCI Compliant device, all was better. Man I was sweating for a minute, well a few hours to be exact :-[
Now if the lightning outside would let up I could get back to capturing and editing. Thanks for your responses.
