Hallo guys,

what do you suggest to buy as Windjammer /furry for tascam dr100 and sennehiser lavalier me2? I Saw a couples on ebay but wanted to wait for your suggestion!
thank you so much

BTW, the Overcovers are not a slip-over design and primarily for hidden mic type applications.. so if the OP's use is with a tie-clip type mount, the Windjammer would be recommended.

Yep i'll use with tie clip mount! I'll go with the windjammer (trying to find a cheap store here in EU now).

Question/suggestion: do you recomend me to use the gain at the minimum to avoid the pick of noise? I'm recording in wave not mp3
Thank you so much

Typically for optimal signal/noise, the channel fader (or record volume) @ unity, the preamp gain adjust dependent on the source SPL.
Which has nothing to do with the mic's windscreen..

I know it Has nothing to do with the windjammer:)
just trying to learn from you cause know better than me this mic

thanks a lot guys

It's not terribly mic specific. You want to avoid a LOT of gain at any one stage. So IF you find your self having to crank up the gain at one point you really want to see if you can balance that out in the chain. As a general rule things are at their best with the gain setting at someplace between 50% and 75%. Most devices get more noisey faster above 75% and under 50% you may have something up the line boosting more that you want.

That is an extremely generalized statement, some things can be very quiet with more than 75% and some things are just hot and you will be turning them down. If you have a mark on your devices for "unity" that will be the best performing position. Some do and some don't. That point is almost always between 50% and 75%.
