WIN10 forced upgrade?

Does Windows ask if you want to upgrade to WIN10 and then go ahead and do it automatically even when you say no?
I had a friend tell me it happened to her earlier in the week and another asking me about it as it seems to be happening to them right now.
I don't know since I am sticking with WIN7 64 for hardware and software reasons.

It wasn't "exactly" like that. It came out with something that resembled a "damned if you do and damned if you don't" choice of the upgrade timing and one had to be very careful with the options presented. If one navigated it carefully though, one could still avoid the switch. (I searched for an online advice) M-Soft got a ton of complaints about it and, since then, went to their old blue, "you can still upgrade it. For free. Please, pretty please".

they had an auto scheduler feature that was opt OUT instead of opt in. If you didn't jump through a couple hoops to disable it, you got auto updated. Actually happen to me while watching a movie on my HTPC and really ticked me off. I was able to cancel out of the install after it restarted, but still.

Not sure if they are still doing it.

(I ended up upgrading later, I had been planning to - I was NOT happy that it interrupted the ending of my movie by forcing its way down my throat. Really crossed the line on whats OK to do to a users computer IMO).
