I'm curious to start the discussion of whether those who have not gotten the upgrade plan to do so. I've only had my F3 for about 3 months. I also have an EX-1 and I still use that for most of my work but I'm transitioning to using the F3 more and more with the clients that appreciate (and will pay for) the extra time required to shoot with it.
When it comes to S-LOG I'm guessing that most of my clients wouldn't see any difference but they would see the difference is the amount of time the added workflow requires and wouldn't want to pay for it. In short, I could get the S-LOG upgrade but I probably wouldn't use it that much. Right now I do a lot of quick turn-around TV spots and corporate communication projects.
Then again, I don't want to have the only F3 on the planet without the upgrade and at $899 with a 32gig card, it seems like a no-brainer. Even if I hardly ever use it - it's not worth it to tell the one client that wants it that I don't have it.
So... For those of you that don't have it, do you plan on getting it and why?
For those of you that do have it (no matter what you paid), was it a good investment?
