Will this LCD work with this shoe mount?

Hey, I'm trying to put together a cheap LCD solution for my DVX simply for framing shots.

I want to know if this LCD TV

would work together? It looks like the TV has that thread on the bottom based on the user pic that has a gorilla pod. Are most lcd tvs like this?

well, the tv has a standard 1/4" threading on the bottom seeing as how that's what most cameras have and the gorilla tripod shown in the picture is 1/4" screw. just make sure the show mount is 1/4" and it should work fine.

Um, that's a 2.7 lbs monitor (not including battery) on a flimsy rotatable shoe mount on top of the DVX handle. That's just not a good idea. The shoe-mount will slip under that much weight and it's not good for the handle either.

Any idea for mounting then


I was thinking of buying either a bogen magic arm

or

A gorilla pod

to grasp it to my tripod. I wasn't planning on spending that much for a temp monitor, but I could always use either the gorillapod or magic arm later on. If it came down to it, would that gorilla pod feasibly work? Is it long enough (10 inches)?
