Will the HMC150 work with IKAN's Director LANC monitor?

HMC150 and ikan director

the Panasonic HMC150 does not support LANC for remote control. Panasonic and some some Sony professional cameras use their own analog control protocols. The Ikan Director features LANC remote control which is used on Canon and many Sony consumer and prosumer cameras. You could use the analog video capabilities of the Director but not its remote control .... I would recommend either the V8000HDMI or V5600 for use with the HMC150 due their support for the HDMI output of the 150

Like the title asks... Is it possible to control the HMC150 using the IKAN Director monitor?

Thanks for the info, I have the old version of the V8000, would I be able to connect the HMC150 to it via component? I also have the BNC to RCA connectors.

Thanks again!

Hi. I see V5600 can't flip image. Do you recommend NOT to mount it upside down?
Can I expect an invert bracket like the one you have for the V8000?
Thanks

Hi,

IKAN Director does not work with Sony cameras listed by IKAN. I have tested 3 Sony camcorders and not even one was working according to what IKAN is advertising. The only feature hardly working is zoom and you can get the picture on the monitor. That's lot of bucks for having a picture an zooming made in China.

Here's a related question. Will the HMC150's battery be able to run the V8000HDMI monitor with the panasonic battery plate?

Here's what I found:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...V8000HDMI_P_8_LCD_Monitor.html#specifications

Power Requirements 12VDC Panasonic Brand Lithium Ion Battery
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/547674-REG/Panasonic_VWVBG6PPK_VW_VBG6PPK_7_2V_5400mAh_.html

Output Voltage 7.2V
I'm not sure if these two can work together... anyone know? I have three of these batteries for my HMC150 and would love to be able to power the monitor with them.
