Just got my HPX-170. I have someone interested in buying my DVX100A. I also
have the Century Precision .7 Wide Angle and the Telecoverter 1.6 lenses I
purchased when I bought my DVX.

The questions is, will these lenses work with my HPX-170? I realzie one camera
is SD and the 170 is HD but can they be used effectively with an HD camera?

Thanks.

Ryan Avery from Century Optics was kind enough to reply to my email.

...We manufacture our lenses to match each camera you buy exactly. We are
the official Panasonic accessory lens provider and all of our lens
designs are made with approval of the Panasonic factory in Osaka Japan.
This means that the optical spacing of the elements and internal design
are for the most part completely different inside the lens even though
we offer many different 1.6x and .7x lenses. The only other camera that
your lenses can be converted to fit (at a cost of $200 each) is for the
Canon XL series..

In short. No. These lenses will not fit the HPX-170.
