Will DVD Studio Pro, Color and Cinema Tools run effectively under Lion

Apple has asserted that FCP7 will run under Lion, but as far as I know they have said nothing about the other applications in Final Cut Studio 3. Has anyone heard anything on whether Color 1.5, DVD Studio Pro, Cinema Tools, Compressor 3 and Motion 4 will run properly under Lion?

We'll have to wait until Lion comes out to see that of course- but word I've heard is the whole suite will work.

Just installed Lion on my laptop. It gives you a list of incompatible software when you install, and the only thing that came up for me was the SxS driver (which sucks!). Seems like all my FCS 3 apps will play run. Now whether they will run perfectly when under stress in everyday use, I do not know yet. Will let you know.
 
What really needs to happen is someone wiping their hard drive and installing a fresh copy of Lion, then trying to load the FCS 3 apps. That will be telling.
 
Yeah why don't you get right on that? :-p

I have a new i7 iMac coming in, I'll install a fresh copy of Lion and hopefully FCS will install and run properly.

Not sure if you can do this without buying a new Mac? 10.7 Lion is only available through the App Store as an upgrade to 10.6.6 or better.
 
In the installation package is a DMG that you can burn to disc that will allow you to install Lion on a fresh drive.
 
Over at the Apple Discussions, a user is reporting increase speed and stability in using FCP 7 after an upgrade install for Lion.

It's anecdotal, but that's the report.

He also did the upgrade mid project.
 
Hmmm to upgrade now or later. Two projects on the raid ready for edit to begin. Another big project about to start, so nothing in edit right this second. Im running FCS and CS5. Im assuming all will be golden?
 
I never upgraded to FCS3. I skipped over it, so I currently have FCS2 and FCPX on my '09 Snow Leopard MacBook Pro. I want to install Lion, but not at the cost of losing FCS2. Anyone know if FCS2 works on Lion?
 
I wiped my 2009 13" MBP (MBP 5,5) and installed a fresh copy of Lion, Final Cut Studio 3, and some plugins. Don't worry about me, I have an iMac that is my primary machine so I can always go back if I run into problems

-Final Cut Studio will install and run under Lion. I haven't done anything major on this laptop so I don't know about stability or any bugs, but it appears to be working properly.
-Magic Bullet plugins (so far) install and run under Final Cut Studio and Adobe CS5. I only have Colorista II and Denoiser to test with, but they all work.
-Primatte Keyer 4 will NOT install because Rosetta is completely gone. I'm sure if you had it installed on 10.6 and upgraded to 10.7 it would work, but why would you do that? At any rate I'll upgrade to Keyer 5 and see if it works.
-I doubt anyone else uses the TMTS free plugins, but they have a nice bloom and wind blur transition that I like to use and I can happily report that it also works in 10.7.
-Twixtor works under CS5 and FCS.

On another note, the revamped gesture system makes editing on a laptop MUCH easier. Swipe drag was something that I sorely needed and I'm glad I can now work 100% using gestures and tap-to-click enabled. I hate clicking down on the trackpad.
 
Well, I just finished a clean install of Lion, got everything up and running - Adobe Production Premium, Resolve, RED CineX, Aperture, etc., but when I put in the FCS3 disk and tried to install, it came up with
an error saying that PowerPC apps are no longer supported... is FCS3 PowerPC? It was running fine on the same computer running Snow Leopard - a 2009 MacPro 2.66 Quad Core Intel Xeon. It seems that Apple is telling us in no uncertain terms that Final Cut Studio is dead. Like, bullet to the head dead.
 
There shouldnt be any need to do a fresh install.

But more specifically:

Has any one updated to Lion running CS5, more specifically after effects cs5 with trapcode form and particular?
