Will any class 10 sdhc card work in Gh1?

please, i also need some info on this:

is there any other safe class 10 sdhc brand except sandisk (which can be half price)?
is transcend enough?

for GH2, that is.

For stock bitrates any class 10 card will be fine.

If you're getting a hacked GH1 and using higher bitrates, then reliable card speed can be a issue. Cards that I know that are well rated in speed tests off the top of my head would be Sandisk, Panasonic or Siliconpower

but most of the cards say: transfer rate up to 20MB/s on devices supporting SD 3.0
isn't the max rate of the GH2 24MB/s?

Mega_Bytes per second versus Mega_Bits per second. The GH2 is only 24Mb/s (lowercase b, bits) and Class 10 SDHC's are 10MB/s (uppercase B, Bytes) or 80Mb/s, and Class 6 are 6MB/s or 48Mb/s

I've been using Class 6 cards with my GH13, and it's been fine with the "Perfect GH13 settings", which is 24Mb/s.

great! thanks! i was wondering if something was misunderstood by me..

Would there be any advantage of using a class 10 over class 6?

I want to buy cards for my gh13 and hmc150. The hmc150 hasn't had the firmware updated so doesn't take class 10. Should I update and buy class 10 for both cameras or keep it how it is and get class 6?

I would update the HMC150's firmware and use the Class 10, if you're using a GH13.

On its own, the HMC150 only needs Class 4. But the GH13 can benefit from the faster speed of a Class 10 card.

I've found the Transcend 16Mb card to be perfect with the hacked GH1 (hacked up to 50Mbps - although I've only ever seen around 30Mbps) No glitches, no lock-ups (except when I enabled native 25p - quickly removed and consigned to the dustbin of experience ;)

The Transcend's are cheap, but seem to do the job well. Since the GH2 has a lower bitrate, I see no reason why they wouldn't be equally as good with that model.

I decided to buy class 10 for the gh13 and class 6 for the hmc150. That way I don't need to update the hmc150 unless there are any other beneficial updates applicable to the hmc151?
