Wierd Aspect Ratio

Dear Forum Members,

I need some advice on why from a normal aspect ratio (4:3) it suddenly became something that looks like 16:9 aspect ratio.

I used my DVX102AE camcorder to take a wedding. The morning ceremony was taken using the scene file F1, which is for normal shooting. Then for the dinner, I switched to scene file F3, which is for highlighting subjects at weddings, receptions, etc. For both these scene files (F1 & F3), I made sure that I had set the aspect ratio to normal (4:3).

But when I uploaded both morning & evening video to Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, the morning session came out looking fine, while the dinner session came out looking like it was shoot in the 16:9 letterbox mode even though I had set it in the normal (4:3) mode while shooting.

Please view the difference in the url provided below :

I suspect the reason for the strange aspect ratio for the dinner shooting is because when editting the video in Adobe Premiere, I used the same timeline settings for both editting morning & evening. I selected :

DV PAL Standard - 48KHz, with 25fps & Frame size of 720h by 576v

So I used a common editting timeline, frame size for both videos. Could this be the reason for the strange aspect ratio for the dinner? How do I scale it back to look like 4:3 aspect ratio? Do I have to scale it manually in Premiere? Thank you & looking forward to your helpful replies.

It seems like the clip was giving an inproper heading during the capture process, thus telling premiere that it is a squeezed 16:9 clip, even though it is 4:3. YOu have two options. First, you can try recaptureing the offending footage. If this doesn't work, I'm not super familiar with premiere, but you can try right clicking on the footage, and uncheck the "maintain aspect ratio" if there is a button there. If not, it may be burried in some menus.
