FS7: Wide zoom replacement for Sony 18-105?

I've got to give props to the fantastic Sony 10-18mm f4 lens, it is fabulous and I rarely hear any mention of it. I use it all the time on a FS7, FS100, and Nex-7...
IT IS NOT FULL FRAME, IT IS SUPER-35, (BTW, S-35 is Not the same as APS-C which is slightly smaller than S-35). I returned the Zeiss Touit 12mm, and am so happy that I exchanged it for the Sony 10-18mm (awesome) and got money back)
(did I mention HD or 4K with No Image Correction Necessary ?) OK, I lost a stop, but what a great piece of glass, (the Touit 12mm had crazy focus hunting and noise issues that were unacceptable, and the Sony was solid and gave an even wider 10mm!)
Highly recommended for every kit!

Can we have a conversation about lenses without getting into this pointless, endless, repetitious, discussion about FOV vs Focal length vs target size.
We get it! ... soooo get it.
In discussions, please express all this in whatever way you feel comfortable. A standard will emerge eventually. Please give it a rest.

The Sony 18-105 f4, is kind of miraculous. It uses targeted in camera correction to make the Long Zoom Range - Low Weight - Low Price - magic happen.
Does anyone know if there is a way to add the correction in post so we can use this lens in 4K? (Just had to shoot my first 4K thing. It's happening)

Wait I thought most of the sony cameras now had correction for the 18-105mm zoom. Is that different in UHD and 4k modes or is it the sharpness of the lens that is the issue as we are looking into getting a sony FS5 with the 18-105mm lens for shooting and will be shooting mostly in UHD.

Many stills apps have lens correction but using those is not likely to be practical in a daily workflow.

Hopefully motion apps will start to include lens correction and also read lens meta data in time to simplify the process.

And how is the sharpness on the 18-105mm? Of course it wont beat at prime but is it still usable at F4 when shooting UHD?

It's exactly the same as when used in HD. I would say get it, then build from there. If you ever sell the camera you can sell it with thew kit lens. I've been using it and it's not bad. I like my Sigma 24-105 better though. For hand held running around the kit lens is great.

Is that after firmwar 3.0?
I didn't notice lens correction works at 4K. In 4K lens looks like gopro images.

I apologize. I didn't realize this was an FS7 thread. I was speaking about the FS5. My bad. I had subscribed to this thread researching alternative lenses.
