wide lense's for the FX1

hey guys.
just a quick question about the FX1
can u put a different wide" len's on the camera?
cause i wanna shoot snowboarding films and want that wide len's look...
And as well... with the fx1 can u transfer footage from the camera straight to the computer via firewire?? or do u need a hdv deck, to tansfer hdv footage.

I think to put a wide lens on the FX1 you need to get some sort of adapter or build one yourself. As for transferring straight to the computer via firewire, of course. You can either do it by the camera, although it's probably not recommended since that will wear out the heads inside the camera, or you could get the hdv deck and transfer that way too. Hope that helps.

so u can't just bye a wide len's and put it over the orignal camrea len's???
and if i transfer via firewire. will it still be hdv? or just dv?

if anyone has a photo of the fx1 or z1 with a wide len's i would love to see it and if u have any grabs of the wide len's been used with the hdv.

Oh, and... You don't need a deck. Take the cam. The Sony Deck seems to be just the mechanics from the fx1. So it's basically just a very expensive HDV cam without the lens ;)
You'd better get a second camera. So, no deck, just DVHScap and a FW cable...
