Wide angle converter or adapter

Looking to get the default Fujinon lens for the HPX500. I saw on Fujinon's site that there are 2 types of adapter, a Wide Converter (0.8x) and a Wide Attachment (0.7x). The only info I get is that the Converter is Zoom thru, and the Attachment is workable only in full wide, focusing with the macro. Anyone has any experience with the 2? Quality wise, is there a noticeable difference (other then the multiplication factor and focal length limits)? Any other workable alternatives to adaptors to get wider?

Also, if I add a wide lens will I disrupt CAC functionality on CAC lenses?

I have both but have never used them with a CAC set up. I find for a commercial shoot the attachment works best. The converter is good if doing alot of walking shots. However it is pretty heavy on the end of the lens.
The Attachment is lighter and imo slightly sharper and usually wider. But you can't zoom through it. (a pain when getting a series of shots)
The converter is more convenient at the shoot but softer (only slightly. I wouldn't zoom more that about 60% of your lense) bulky and heavy.

Up to you what suits your projects.
