Wide-angle anamorphic lens

I currently use the Letus Elite along with 3 Nikkor AI-S lenses of 28mm, 50mm and 105mm.

However I was wondering whether wide-angel anamorphic lenses less than 40mm were out there to use with the adapter. If so, which ones would be recommended?

I want to create the trademark Wes Anderson style that has a cylindrical perspective and I'm assuming this is the way to go about it.

The 5D section of this site has quite a bit of good info on anamorphics. Thanks to that area I actually just purchased a Sankor 16C for an upcoming short....although I won't be using a 5D, but an HVX and an M2.

Here's a couple random links I have open right now:

Hey Nick, how well does your Sankor perform with your M2 setup? I was thinking of getting such a lens for my SGPro setup. What do you think?

Check out this forum thread for footage from the Sankor 16C:

Personally I don't have the lens in my hands yet, so I can't say one way or another how well it works, although I do know the aspect ratio is pretty nutty, lol...I'll probably crop the sides, as it's a 2x anamorphic. I'll retain all the cool effects of the anamorphic, but loose a little resolution, but basically about the same amount I would lose from cropping a non-anamorphic, except it'll be off the sides instead of the top/bottom. I'll prolly film at 108024pa, stretch, trim, and down-rez...hopefully the end result will look good...we'll see :)

Thanks for the info and the link Nick! Hell, I want to go anamorphic so bad, I am considering the Panasonic anamorphic adapter. I am sure it doesn't quite compare with the Sankor or the Isco, but it would be a good experiment. Let me know how your test goes!
