Wide angle adaptor

I will probably have to purchase a wide adaptor, this lens is not wide enough to shoot in 4:3.

Did anyone tried it already?
How is the sharpness and distorcion?
How much zoom can be used with the adaptor on?

JVC offers one, which is only a little bit wider, I think it's a .82x. Somewhere around $700.

The real wide-angle that you want is, of course, the 13x lens, with its 3.5mm widest end -- but at $11,995 retail, it's not exactly inexpensive.

I believe Century was trying to work up a wide converter for the stock 16x lens but was having some challenges because of the way the Fujinon is designed.

My .82x just arrived at my dealer. I will pick it up on Monday and do a comparison FOV test.
