Wide Angle Adapter

I am wondering, will the wide angle adapter for the XL1s by Century Optics work on the DVX?

I remember reading somewhere that there was a wide angle adapter that mounted on both the XL1s and the DVX... although I am not sure what brand.

My school has several adapters, fish-eyes, wide angle etc... and They all are for the many XL1s cameras they have... I not a 100% but I think they are Century Optics...

I have a shoot coming up and want to have a wide angle handy for a shots.

Anyone have any info?

Re: Wide Angle Adapter

Century Wide Angle Adapters for the Canon XL1 mount to the lens via the bayonets on the front of the lens. Our accessories for the DVX100/100A also attach to the camera via the bayonets on the front of the lens.

Unfortunately these bayonets are mechanically different. The Canon accessories- if they are Century - would have have to be modified by replacing the mounting rings and some other adjustments--- they cannot be used interchangeably on both cameras.
