Wide angle adapter advice?

Should be fine, as long as you dont zoom too much outside edges will most likely soften. For the price I would try it worth a shot.

I use the Panasonic 0.7X converter on my HMC80 all the time with fine results. The only inconvenience is the actual weight and size of the adapter. I haven't been as pleased with the sharpness and vignetting of adapters in the 0.5X range like the one you're considering, but it's inexpensive and I'd say worth a look.

Thank you, everyone. I'm not too concerned about zooming much with it, mainly getting wider shots without having to get it as high up. Didn't know if .7 is wide enough considering how "un" wide the camera starts out. Weight is a concern, as are flares when outside.

+1 for the 43mm Panny. I think this is about the best compromise for performace and price. the wider lenses all seam to have issues, thought wider than the x7 Panny would be nice. if you need a lens hood, look to the soft-box products from cinetactics; nice gear. The lens issue was discussed in some depth when the hmc40 was released. Dig around, you'll find lots of info

Thank you, everyone. I'm trying to grasp.. How wide will my hck10 (hmc40) be then if I use a .7 adapter? Will it be wider than a stock hmc150 (28mm) ?
