Wicker Man

Edit: well i don't think i'm seeing it anymore because sounds like from all reviews that its not even scary, not like the original, and more of a mystery.

The Brit Ekland singing scenes are bizarre, but entertaining. My favorite line is from Christopher Lee: "Well of course the girls are jumping over the fire naked. Otherwise their clothes would catch fire." Now who can argue with that.

Richard Roeper and the guest critic ripped this movie a new one. It was funny to listen to them tear this one apart. I'm sure now, that I'm not going to waste my time.

Ok, so I didn't see it. But my brother did and from what i gathered from his description... C.R.A.P. If i see it, it will probably be on video, and a dollar to rent.

I am not a fan of Nic Cage, so I passed it up. One of my coworkers is a huge fan of him, saw it and said it was terrible. Thats the best I can do for a review.

You cannot remake a movie that has so many faults - and yet those faults make it better unintentionally. What are you going to do in a remake - purposefully try to make the wrong choices and hope they turn out great? You can't do it. On the surface, the choice to make the original a musical was a horrible idea. And yet it's the thing that makes the movie work so well.

However I do give it to the director (who was it? Toback?) for at least trying something wacky. The thing with women running the island could've been cool. But in the end, the idea that today there's a society living on an island that isn't regulated (particularly in the U.S.) is just too far-fetched for any audience member to believe.
