Why shoot 720 60p?

I have a client whose editor has told them to shoot at 60p, what would be the reasons for this. They haven't specified yet whether they want 24fps, 30fps, or 60fps. From what I have read at 24fps will give the best film look and the 60fps will have a reality look, but how would any of this be different by shooting 24pN or 30pN?
