GH13 Why not use the iA Video Mode?

Hi everyone,

I'm wondering why everyone suggests never to use the iA Video mode. (Press the red record button in M Mode)
Does the Gh13 Hack only affect the manual movie mode?

I've used it for some lowlight tests and the results were fine, even when Panning around and have differently lit locations. The brightness adjustments looked fast and smooth enough for me. For longer shots with changing lighting, this seems useful to me.

Is the shutter speed changing in the iA mode? Couldn't recognize that (the 50hz lamp didn't start to flicker).

Of course having manual controls is good for shooting scenes with the same lightning over the time, and I prefer to set it up manually. I'm just wondering why to NEVER use this mode.

Greetings from Germany,

If you prefer the way it looks, use it! I use auto aperture and auto ISO all the time for run-n-gun wedding videos (in movie mode...not shooting video in one of the photo modes, however, because I am particular about the shutter speed...but not so much the DOF at weddings).
