Why cant I switch easily from the white balance presets when I'm in pre-record mode?

When I'm in the pre-record shooting mode on the HMC-150, I find it close to impossible to switch between the 3200K and 5600K settings. I have to hit the button in front of the camera numerous times to get it to switch and it doesnt seem to follow any rhyme or reason. This stops when i swtich out of this mode.

any thoughts as to why this is?
 
This is logical because it could happen to change the WB and you go on shooting and then the same clip have two different WB.
