WHY CAN'T I SHUT OFF AUTO WB in my Sony EX1 ??

I am having an incredibly frustrating problem with my Sony EX1. No matter what I do in the menu, or with the presets, or in the Picture Profile, I cannot get the WB to LOCK IN at 5600.

It keeps setting the WB automatically, even though I do NOT push the Auto WB button on the camera front.

I go into the menu, set the WB to 5600, turn the camera off and on again, and it says 5600 at the bottom of the monitor. Then is a few minutes it starts to change again to a different WB. Yes, it does say ATW at the bottom, left of the monitor, but nothing I can do will change that.

Any advise or help in how to solve this so I can LOCK it in a 5600, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Push your jog dial to enter on screen settings mode. Scroll down or up to get to ATW setting on the screen, hit the jogdial. Select W:P ?

And if you can't do that check your direct menu settings under others > direct menu . Set it to part

1 If under others > direct menu is set to 'all' and you try to flip the white balance switch, it says 'cannot proceed'
2 If under others > direct menu is set to 'part' youre able to use both the white balance switch an the jog dail
3 If under others > direct menu is set to 'off' you can't enter the direct menu by the jog dail but the white balance switch works.
Bank B of the white balance switch is often set to ATW (you can change that in Camera set > White switch<B>)
Usefull?

I have my preset set to 5600 most of the time as I use HMi lighting 90% of the time. This is easy. First, go into picture profiles. There are 6 of them, pick one that is unused and name it 5600K, then scroll down the settings and select White, and the pop up menu to the right at the bottom (you may need to scroll down a few) is where you set the preset to any temperature you want. Roll it to 5600. It's done and will not change unless you change the profile. In the VF the PP is 1 through 6. I have the 6 set for 5600, cine gamma 4, and matrix at HiSat. It's a great, rich preset. I have PP3 set to 3200, Cinegamma 1 or 2 (I cant remember, but it's whichever is brighter) and HiSat matrix. I have found some great looks over the years just messing around witht the factory presets. That's what they are there for. Just spend an hour running through the combinations and you'll find something you really prefer for tungsten, daylight, or available light. I use Hi Sat because I do not grade anything. The Standard setting that the camera comes with right out of the box is as flat as it gets IMO, the guys like that one for grading. I do not.
