Hey guys,
I'm pretty new to the forum, I just got an hvx200p and i have a DOF by redrock. i used a canon 50mm 1.4, i shot it at 720/24pN

Why is my footage not as clear and crisp as i see with others?

Is there anything i can do to improve it? or is everything fine?
I'll post another clip tomorrow because this one has a lot of camera movements.

Thanks in advance.

Richard - in that footage no, i did not use focus assist. I just posted another link, with footage of using focus assist.

oedipax - yes, i thought that too initially, so i took to to vistek, and had the gentleman there do it. he's had a redrock for a while and is a pro at back focusing.

the ground glass is focused on, and my image looks to be sharp when the lense is focused to infinity.

Djdecay - how do i fix collimation, if that's the issue. And i'm pretty sure i'm not using DSLR lenses, these are pretty old lenses.

hmm.

Could it also be my flange focal distance or is this a post production problem, such as using the wrong type of compression?

DJDdecay,

I use the redrock micro with cinescreen 1 with the sd 55mm acrhomat.

After playing around with it, and taking a some footage that isn't 20 feet away from me, i can see the difference now!

My FFD, is just slightly off, and i think i'm going to fix that to make my footage better.

Thank you for your help!

I really appreciate it!

:D
