Why can't i get 4K out of A7s?

Tested Grabbing some still frames from Video files and they are good enough as proper stills too, for me Just that alone is a reason to shoot 4K.
Not sure any of my Clients would need 4K for few more years, but for my personal projects it's only ultraHD from now on...
Love it

Got my shogun two hours ago updated it to 6.1 but i'm stuck at 2160 getting into it from the A7s.
i tried both SSD (samsung 840 EVO and Sandisk Extreme pro) and 3 HDMI cable that supposed to pass 4K
the camera 4K output resolution option is greyed out.
any idea what am i'm doing wrong?
Ultra HD resolution is 3840 X 2160

Hey Guy, does your Shogun read your drive when you power it on? With mine I have to remove and reinsert while unit is on for it to read the drive. Is this the case with yours or do I have a defective unit? I am using the 1TB Transcend SSD's they recommend. Thanks!

After formatting my two drives once they work overtime i start it up, i swapped them a lot today with no problems, i just make sure to shut the unit off before ejecting them.
if i had that problem i would format the drive on my Computer and then start fresh again with a Shogun Format and see if it helps.
Hope that helps.

I have heard others having this problem too. Probably need to start a thread with drives that work or dont. I have three SanDisk Extreme waiting.

Same with me, same SSD too. It's a pain in the ass, but it works. (You basically have to hot mount this drive which is, as you say, on their recommended list.) The problem is you can't update the FW using this SSD since it won't recognize until after the unit boots and is inserted. I had to use an old HDD I have lying around for installing firmware. I let Atomos know.
