Any ideas? I can get a laptop for $300 and run some $50 software to get a waveform monitor. Why are manufacturers charging over four times this? It would be handy to have a little waveform I can hook up with out having to bring a whole laptop to set.
If there isn't any lag, then it should probably be better than analog (for shooting digital). Your getting its' full native DV signal that it creates the waveform off of so it should be quite good unless the computer has lag issues.
the old external scopes were expensive to make and therefor, still expensive today.
What I get out of external scopes is realtime accuracy with no loss of ram/performance.
Well, plus I have an avid so they are still required to date.
lol
ebay is yer buddy. You can get real scopes for less than a grand.
