Why are time-lapse files on FS700 low-res?

I do a lot of time lapse work. I usually use either the a7RII, or a Nikon D7000, or a Panasonic LX100. I also try to do them on the FS700, but they always come out low-res. It looks like it's even fuzzier than 720. What's the deal? The slo-mo on the FS700 is beautiful even when recorded to an SD card in-camera, totally 1080 and very sharp. But the time-lapse done at 1 frame-per-second looks like junk.

The FS700 would be very convenient to use for some time-lapses if the resolution was sharper. Is there a setting I don't know about, or is this just the way the camera works?

I do a TON of timelapse with the FS700 and I've never noticed this.....it looks pretty nice for what it is.
I mean, it's only HD resolution, so it's not like doing timelapse with a DSLR with high megapixel counts,
but it's pretty quick and easy so I use it a lot. You can't do 'pans and zooms' in post like you can with DSLR
timelapse, but set it up with 1fps and a nice slow shutter speed (like 1/2 second or even 1 second) and it
has always given me nice stuff. Hard to really tell with online compression and all but I've got a fair bit
of timelapse stuff (watch it in HD!) shot with the FS700 on my demo reel here:

Alaskacameradude-- I cannot see any link on your post. I think the forum software is cutting it out for some reason. I'd love to see what your time-lapse footage looks like, so if you could send me a link in a direct message we'll see if that works. Many thanks.
 
didn't even know this was a function - where is it? I love time lapse, but got rid of a 5d last year for the fs700 (although the 5d i needed to use a cheap product to do time lapse)

If you go to slow and quick motion you can reduce the frame rate to 1 fps or similar, so when you record you get a timelapse.
