Why are there so many polls?

Not to pick on you anymore. But you can also edit your posts to consolidate comments. For instance, instead of just replying with "yeah man i know lol" and then posting a new post a second later, you can edit your first post to add on your second comment of "it was a joke(pun)". It's not a big deal but it's the whole brevity thing...

Regarding polls. I fondly remember a situation where someone asked a question of an industry expert (not here but at a trade show), likely just to try an engage him in a conversation. The expert's respone was perfect, "if I were to give you this information, what would you do with it?". I have used that one on a number of occasions myself.

it was a joke. the moderator later said he too was just joking with me too and i had no hard feelings about any of it. i mean it was all easy going and i was just kidding around with the responses. If i am supposed to talk to the moderators in a particular way i will. i am not trying to be rude here. talking about democracy isn't to be taking seriously, we're on a forum about movies and such. Why'd i bring politics into it? Seriously what is the big deal with this? I don't understand. I keep replying because i think it is better than just ignoring comments and so on. I just put up some polls and didn't know it was bad. Some folks said things and i kidded around and then we all said hey it was all in fun, what's wrong with that? when u responded on one of the polls did you think i was being rude at all in my comments? man i'm getting a bit confused about why spme people seem to think i am being antagonistic.

Joining DVXuser is like joining any other group or community. Look and listen for a while to figure out how things work before coming on strong. It's like when I hang with a lost tribe in the Amazon. I don't go charging in shooting frog toxin-tipped arrows into the tallest tree while chanting war songs. I hang back, take the lay of the land and maybe wink at the Chief's daughter a couple of times. Then I let a couple of the guys stumble onto me making one badass hollowed out canoe. Eventually, they might let me a lead a few hunting parties.
