Why are Canadian Resellers so slow?

It's great to see EVS and Specc-comm offering some amazing deals. Are we going to see anything similar from Canadian resellers? Let's hope DVshop or Leos Camera come up with something. All of the resellers that I know still have the old MSRP on their websites.

Leo's has confirmed pricing. Please contact me for pre-order and package specials. You can pm me, email me directly at david@leoscamera.com or call me at 604 685-5331. We are open 9-5 mon-Fri and 10-4 Saturdays.

Please keep in mind Canadian resellers are not allowed to show lower than list pricing on their websites. This has been standard for Panasonic (and Sony) dealers up here....
Hope that sheds some light.
All the best,

PS-We did receive revised pricing from Panasonic Canada last friday. I think most will be pleasantly surprised...

Welcome aboard David. There are some cool people on this forum with good things to say about you guys. Thanks for coming on and lending your experience. :)

David, is it true you can't sell the HVX under the MSRP on the panny web site?

I went on the Vistek website and notice that they are selling their 4GB P2 card 840$Can and on the panny web site, the MSRP is 760$ which is almost 100bucks less. I don't understant why their price is higher than the msrp!

Brian never said dealers in Canada couldn't sell for less than MSRP. They just can't advertise for less than MSRP. Vistek really boithers me because it's so Canon focused in video and Photography. Leos has much better pricing than Vistek anyway.

Vistek has been slow to update their prices. They had the HVX200 listed at $7495 for almost a week when Panny had already lowered it to $7100. By the way, it's now $7000! Maybe by June it will be free...

DVshop sell the HVX for 6999,99$ and the 4GB P2 card is 779$ so actually it's the best price I've seen in Canada. If someone find something better, tell it.
