I felt I must be doing the hack all wrong - tried all the settings, including native 25p, never got a write error on a Transcend class 10 - not even when waving the camera around like a man possessed!
So, when I read about everyone getting various errors, I began to think that I was making a mistake somewhere, and that the hack wasn't actually being implemented.
Then I tried altering GOP.
Moving GP for 1080 down to 6 produced an card error within 90 seconds.
Phew!
Actually, in my ignorant and unlearned opinion, native 25p added nothing to the party - and might, actually, have looked slightly worse that non-native 25p at the 'C' settings.
So, now that I've satisfied myself that I'm correctly implementing the hack, I'm back to non-native C settings which I find impossible to break.
Anyone got any stable GOP settings for PAL?
