GH4 Whole videos all in slow motion?

I saw this post and had to do my own all slow mo clip :)

I love watching slow motion. In the rat race world we live in, it's soothing often to dial down and just enjoy the moment for a bit longer.

Some nice shots. And it wasn't 3 minutes long. That didn't look like GH4 footage or slow-mo to me. What camera you use?

GH4, 25mm f/1.4, cineV, 96fps/30p, 16-235, all zeros. In Vegas I hit the curves pretty hard and output full range with crushed blacks and blown highlights. Simplest workflow ever and I think it's an amazing combo.

nice

for me you clip does not come across as the the normal slow motion, and looks to be hand held. doing slow camera movements hand held can be very difficult to do, so overcranking in this situation really helps. it might be cool to cut to something from the end of clip that definitely comes across as slow motion.

thanks, enjoyed the clip.

Slow motion is overused a lot in action sports. I use it quite a bit when editing to music. Here is an example. I think it works well and I've gotten good feedback but am curious to hear how you guys feel about it!

Shot with GH2 so all slomo is either 60p or 30p.

Nick, that is exceptional !!!

Not intended for general consumer consumption, but amazing images for those of us who are interested and know the game.

simple answer. the gh4 looks like sharp video as opposed to the filmic mojo of other cams. the slo-mo is misdirection & gives the cam the illusion of having a film look. and that my friend is why there are so many slo mo vids on the gh4.
i challenge anyone to find a narrative shot on the gh4 w/o slo mo.

Carnival at 60fps :Drogar-Dum(DBG):

Seeing hows you're putting it out there, I got to about 40 seconds and started skipping through. If it was 96 fps I probably would have started skipping much earlier, something your video made me realize. That's not to say the image isn't good because it looks great, and it's not to say you didn't get some great shots because they looked great to me. I guess a good comparison would be imagine listening to a song slowed down...the whole song. Slow downs in music work most effectively when used sparingly as an effect and not as a full length narrative tool. Just my opinion. I know some people love this stuff.
